From a very early age, George Lukin loved music, playing several musical instruments, such as piano and guitar, and having a very good ear for music. That's how he found his way to studying sound engineering and audio production, eventually starting to work with big local events, bands and DJs.

Born and raised in Moscow, Russia and surrounded by and influenced by an eastern European household, George Lukin was exposed to rhythmic music, predominantly of European nature. It was no surprise that from an early age George Lukin had a lively interest in music, pursuing lessons in percussion and keyboard. Armed with his developing music sense, he soon proved himself to be not only a good music student but also a charismatic entertainer. His first experience with 'DJing' was in 1999 when a friend introduced him to the 'wheels of steel. He was fascinated with the almost infinite sound structures which he could obtain by two turntables and mixers and soon decided to get deeper into this high art of presenting.

George Lukin is at the forefront of the next generation of electronic dance music artists, whose wide talents encompass an inimitable DJing style, international touring schedule, and his prolific, cutting-edge productions on his own successful label WIRE Recordings. His unique blend of energetic dance music incorporates various styles into an eclectic range of funked-up house beats with a techy-edge and twisted jams induced by his own re-edits and mixes that mold his DJ sets. George also shared the same dark rooms as Dubfire, Timo Mass, Crystal Method, Fat Boy Slim, Deft Punk, Jimpster, Oscar G, Donald Glaude, Yves LaRock, Second Sun, Filo & Perry, Black & Jones and Cosmic Gate just to name a few. His debut artist album Dance of the Crashing Dummies (2005) propelled him onto the international stage. Lukin's driving, dynamic DJing style has been captured on his compilations Winter Lights (2008) and LUKIN FORWARD (2009). Now his own label, focuses on introducing new artists from his own collective of Atlanta artists, other emerging global acts and as an outlet for his own productions. His latest "Insignia" EP out now on Beatport.
