The events of the year 2013 proved that PhetHouse Records co-owner and Washington DC's own LJ MTX is more than just a pretty face with an amazing head of hair. It is difficult to describe the feeling you get when you see your own tunes included in the set lists of some of your favorite DJs including Laidback Luke, Krewella, DJ Chuckie, Dyro, DJ Bl3nd, Morgan Page and George Acosta. Then when you receive props on your production from one of your musical idols in Rob Swire of the legendary band Pendulum and group Knife Party, you can most certainly chalk it up as a good year. More on the history of LJ MTX:

American Dance Music producer and international DJ known as "LJ MTX" has, over the course of nearly eight years, leveraged himself to become one of the top artists within his musical genre in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. His birth name is John Tisdale Jr. after his father. Through the persistence of his mother to create a nickname for her son, the future music star came to be known as 'L.J.' (Little John) by all who knew him.

Skipping forward several years to 2006, for the first 5 years he became known in the States and in Europe for his Electro House production, working with popular labels including Plasmapool, Big Fish, InStereo, Sick Slaughterhouse, and a number of others. Metronix has celebrated several top 100 Electro tunes and a top 10 album over the course of his career. His musical sub-genres can be described as everything from over the top ‘Porn' House to accessible Indie style Electro to big Festival Progressive and Electro House. Major international DJs who have played and supported LJ's songs this year have included: Krewella, Knife Party, Dyro, Laidback Luke, DJ Bl3nd, Morgan Page and George Acosta.

In 2013, 5 of his tunes reached as high as #20 on Beatport (http://www.beatport.com) Electro, with one remix peaking at #35 in the ARIA Club Tracks (http://www.ariacharts.com.au/). Over the course of his career he has remixed and been remixed by the likes of noteworthy artists like DJ Bl3nd, vocalist Max C (known for #1 Hit ‘Sending My Love' by Rehab & Swanky Tunes), Lazy Rich, George Acosta, Reid Speed, Mobin Master, Havoc & Chris Bullen, Fast Foot, Revolvr and Donald Glaude. In 2007 Metronix established a residency at one of the worlds most renowned weekly events: Glow in Washington, DC (www.clubglow.com), and currently holds residencies with DMV's biggest promoters (DC/MD/VA) Steez Promo and B.A.D.A.S.S. Raves.
